just a few things

Lola and i learned a few things while in California.

1. We are part French.

2. We have a pretty fantabulous family that loves to laugh.

3. We love the beach.


4. I have an aunt that made it known she does NOT like my bangs.

5. We are now proud members of Greenpeace.

6. I love Coffee Bean.

7. Lola loves Coffee Bean….and talking on the phone.8. We love pink VW buses.

9. We believe the clouds part and the sun comes out when you need it most.

10. We love a good photo wall.

11. Cupcakes are the ultimate cure all.

12. I love the smell of an old pipe sitting on the shelf.

13. Cousins make everything more fun.

14. I now really like baby blue and pink cabinets.

15. I kind of have a thing for floral wallpaper.

16. Stopping to smell the flowers is therapeutic.

17. A Fashion show in Grammy’s alley can be really fun.

18. I really miss being around my entire family….but i am sure happy to be back home with my boys.

{even though my house is not clean…..and apparently boys can go days without toilet paper in the house}

who can i call for a little sunshine

It’s been a really long…and rough week…so let me sum it up the best i can.

*My Grammy… who just turned 92……passed away on Tuesday.

*I loved her spirit.

*I loved her soul.

*She had a wicked sense of humor…and passed it down ….i was the lucky recipient.

*I am so thankful that my kids were able to hug her when we last saw her at Thanksgiving.

*Even though we are all heartbroken to have lost her….our hearts are content knowing she’s in a better place.

*She made sure…as one last token of love….by giving her signature middle finger flip to her children

so they knew that she could still indeed hear them as they huddled and cuddled around her.

*Lola and i are flying out today…and headed to San Diego.

*I called the weather channel and asked if they could have sunny and warm weather for us.

*The nice man who answered the phone said he would see what he could do.

*Mason was home with a sore throat yesterday.

*The Doctor should have asked me first before stating aloud to him that he should stay home.

*I think the Doctor forgot that mason did NOT have school on Monday and does not have school on Friday.

*I think she also forgot that he was home for an entire week when he had his tonsils out.

*Motrin was made so that sore throats feel better and kids can go to school.

*Mason had to come with me while i got a pedicure.

*I forgot that feet could actually look pretty in the winter.

*We both watched a Chinese soap opera while there.

*I still have not lost one single pound.

*That won’t stop me from eating a good In & Out burger this weekend.

*I will plan on wearing shorts at least one day…even if i have fat divots in my thighs.

*I am pretty darn sure i won’t be coming home to a clean house on Sunday.

*I’m okay with that.

*Honest.

*I can’t wait to walk around Grammy’s house and take it all in one last time.
