I heart

…..vacations…sunshine….sand….the sound of waves breaking….laughter…..friendships.

I also heart being able to wear cute ruffled shoes in the sand.

I’m home.

I don’t want to be home….it’s very very cold here and  it was 70 there.

It’s cloudy here and it was sunny there.

I didn’t have to cook there but i have to cook here.

I now want to move back to Cali.

Bryan took the kids to Florida this last weekend while i was in Cali……

and they came home stating they would all like to move to Florida.

I told them they could visit me whenever they want…..really……. pinky promise.

No one thought that was a good idea.

So..here i am…

back in Illinois…

where it’s cold.

I have some 400 photos to go thru…and as soon as i get some edited…i’ll be back to show off

what Rehab is really like for three friends.

  4. I hope you’ll give me a play by play of the wineries you visited during rehab! ; )

  5. I want to move to California too but we don’t make enough money to live there lavishly like I like!

  6. glad you had a great time at rehab! it’s always so nice to get away with just the girls!

  7. That is the down side of going somewhere fabulous during the winter – you have to come home again… It is cold and rainy here today and a beach sounds really nice right about now. However, seeing as that doesn’t seem to be in the cards any time soon, I shall instead bake something delicious, turn some extra lights on to chase the darkness away, and maybe even take a nap!
    Stay warm~
    xx

  8. LOVE the shoes!!

  9. Wow, that was a quick trip!! But it sounds like you had a fab time!
I want to move somewhere warmer too! The UK is pretty missy at the moment!

  10. Welcome home ~ it is cold here. Happy transitioning.

    Fondly,
    Glenda

  23. can’t wait to see the photos and hear all the details…and how did you find that place to stay even tho I have not seen
the photos you mentioned it was right on the beach…..prove it!:)

  24. Goin on a REHAB weekend myself! Going to pamper my first cousin who has just had a baby. But, having teens in my house, being around toddlers and newborns sounds like a “getaway”! Oiy! perspective…

  25. Sounds like you had a GREAT TIME! Your husband is a ‘jewel’ (of course you already knew that) to understand why you needed to get away for REHAB! Looking forward to seeing all of your pictures. It’s too bad you could not have stayed longer because the weather here in California is supposed to be beautiful (high 60′s to low 70′s) for at least the next week.

  26. Look forward to see the rehab photo’s and your shoes are gorgeous! (anthro?)

  27. Elaine L. says:

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be independently wealthy (or win the lottery) and be able to have more than one home?!

I’d love a loft in Manhattan; a farmhouse almost anywhere; an adobe in Santa Fe; and a beach house along the CA. Central Coast.

  28. Oh what would I give for a 70 degree get-away! Woke up this morning (in Maine) and it was 20 below! My dog didn’t even want to go outside – we had to push her … she wasn’t very happy. She showed us how much she didn’t like the cold later that morning – on the kitchen floor. :(

Can’t wait to hear about your rehab vacation get-away with your girls … and the warmer weather!

  29. hi kasey! i found your blog thru melinda over at alabasterrosedesigns! i am so happy to have ‘met’ you! i laughed out loud about telling the fam they could come and visit whenever they wanted. pinky promise! lol…lol…lol….i, TOO want to move to southern cali. either there, or the carolinas. i love sunshine and warm weather all the time. not just 3-4 months out of the year. boo to midwest winters!
